We use a range of learning methods to ensure the tools are interactive and ensure successful user retention. Our central asset store includes a variety of learning techniques, substantiated by a panel of global experts in the field who offer opinion and advice during the development process of each tool.

The tools use a blend of animated text, with progress controlled by the learner to suit their own absorption rate; documentary video to explain context; fictional drama to immerse; interactive learning games; activity work sheets; quizzes with correct answers as a learning technique; and a final assessment test, which offers an automatic evaluation of their competence related to their performance throughout the tool. Our psychologists select the most effective format for each stage of the learning process.

Psychological theory underpins the text, drama, and gamification formats. Social Cognitive Theory is embedded in each of the tools through video sequences, where the user will observe real life scenarios and understand the potential consequences of certain actions. The fictional and documentary video sequences are carefully researched board room and office simulations. Users are asked to make highly complex and challenging decisions, and to question their ingrained organisational bad habits before seeing the results of their analysis. This encourages them to create their personal action plans. Learning through observation and social interaction guides substantial behaviour change by giving the user a sense of attribution and responsibility.

At LiMETOOLS we use a Learning Management System (LMS) to enable a learner’s engagement to take place within a ‘live’ service between the cloud and individual users as they work. Our software platform is delivered to the desktop, streamed, or downloaded, with our LMS capturing and aggregating data as the learner progresses. This SCORM 1.2 compliant system can be integrated into any client internal LMS. Our programmes are all based on HTML5 and use no FLASH. The functionality of the LMS system allows for full navigational facilities, including SAVE & RETURN to the learning point; plus, score measurement and completion data analytics, allowing for departmental comparative studies and overall company capacity growth.
